Who we are
The Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) is a Think and Do tank that works with businesses, policy makers, partner organisations and civil society towards a sustainable planet
On May 31st 2016, we at the CSCP hosted an Unconference to celebrate our 10th anniversary and announced our goal to double the impact of our work in the next 10 years.
Looking at the event we asked ourselves: What created impact during that day and can we scale up those ideas?
Open your mind! Our evening event “Taste the Jeans” did just that: taking a solution perspective on pressing sustainability challenges communicated to all our guests’ senses via food, dancing, music, touch, personal stories, movie, and art. The session offered multiple ways to think and feel things from a new angle and get inspired. It created an open mind-set for innovation, collaboration, and stakeholder engagements. Following its success, we are actively developing “Taste the Jeans” as a format that can be used to “Taste” all kinds of solutions. Stay tuned to hear more about it!
The consumer angle! Many of the discussions and workstudios have significantly gained ground from including and strengthening the consumer and lifestyle perspective —whether via the Circular Economy, Industry 4.0, or Sustainable Cities to name a few. We at the CSCP always consider the lifestyle perspective as an important angle from which new solutions can be developed. At the Unconference, we launched #mylifestylepledge, a campaign that asks you to make a pledge to live more sustainably. It’s a chance to try something new and share your progress with all of us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram by using #mylifestylepledge
Join us today and help make this movement global!
